Bio statement

About Leticia Sánchez Toledo

Leticia Sanchez Toledo received her degree in Design from the Higher Institute of Design (ISDI) in Havana, Cuba. She has participated in artist residencies such as the Vermont Studio Center (USA, 2024) and is the recipient of the 2025 Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant.

Her solo exhibitions include Intimate Pauses at Pan American Art Projects (Miami, 2023), Miami at Annex Gallery (Cincinnati, 2022), Punctum at CEART (Madrid, 2019), and Wrong Certainty at the XII Havana Biennial (Cuba, 2016). Selected group exhibitions include The Family of the Artist (AlunaArt Foundation, 2025), Crossing the Divide: Cuban Art from Both Shores at Instituto Cervantes (São Paulo, 2025), Descendencias at MOCCA (Miami, 2025), and Cuba Adentro at Casa dei Carraresi (Italy, 2014).

Her work has been featured in numerous art fairs, including Art Miami, Art on Paper (New York), Pinta Miami, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and VALOARTE (Costa Rica). She has been published in New American Paintings, Rialta Magazine, El Nuevo Herald, Hypermedia Magazine, CdeCuba Art Magazine, and CubaPlus, among others.

Sánchez Toledo has participated in talks and panels at institutions such as Pan American Art Projects (Miami) and The Annex Gallery (Cincinnati), and her work is held in public and private collections including the Coral Gables Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas (MOCCA), and the Jorge Pérez Collection in Miami.

She currently lives and works in Miami, Florida.
