Aimee Garcia Biographical notes:

Born in Matanzas, Cuba in 1972. She currently lives and works in Winston Salem. NC. USA. Graduated from the Higher Institute of Art. Havana-1996

She has had personal exhibitions at the Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Center, Havana. Alejandro Otero Museum, Caracas. Couturier Gallery, LA. Fraser Gallery, Washington DC. Gallery at Foyles Bookshop. 5thFloor, 107 Charing Cross Road. London 

Her work has been exhibited at the José Luis Cuevas Museum, Mexico. Museum of Modern Art of Toluca, Mexico. Lowe Art Museum. University of Miami, The Rockefeller Brother Fund. New York Shelley and Rubin Foundation. New York, Arizona State University Art Museum, Arizona. Kunsthalle Rostock. Rostock East Germany. 

She has participated in several international biennials such as the 57th Venice Biennale. Biennial of Havana, Biennial of Kwangju, Biennial of Cuenca and Biennial of Painting of the Caribbean and Central America.
